HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I am very blessed to have wonderful mothers in my life....my own mother,
my mother-in-law, my daughters-in-law, my sisters-in-law, my aunts,
my nieces, and all my great friends! I appreciate you, and thank you all
for the joy and happiness you have brought to my life! I love you and
wish you all a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Springtime!

We don't have the most beautifully landscaped yard, but what we do
have is so beautiful in the springtime. So, take a tour and enjoy!

Fun Times with Abby & Natalie!

I am the luckiest Aunt because I have so many of my nieces and
nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews living in town! I even
get to babysit once in a while and it is a real treat! Here are two of
my beautiful Munn great-nieces.....Natalie and Abby!
When I picked Abby up from pre-school, her face lit up when she saw
me and she ran across the yard with her arms opened wide, calling my
name, smiling and laughing. When she got to me she jumped into my
arms and gave me the biggest hug! It was awesome! My heart just
leaped with joy and happiness to have this little girl in my life! Of course,
on the way home we had to stop and get an ice cream treat!

I was sitting in the chair talking to Thomas and the next thing I knew,
I had two little girls climbing up to be on my lap and sitting next to me!
Natalie ended up cuddling up in my arms to drink her bottle and I was
in heaven! Thanks Kim for sharing these little darlings with me for a
few hours!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Today is my birthday! Thomas asked me how old I was. I told him to tell
me how old he thought I was. He said, "oh forty-five..something like that?
(he was really serious)" I gave him a kiss and told him I was 54! His
comment was "wow". When I asked what that meant, he said, "I didn't
think you were that old!"

A surprise from all my kids (Thomas was in charge of the wrapping
part).....a pedicure! I love it!

54 years old and counting......Look at that handsome man standing
next to me! I get to be with him for all those "and counting years!"
Lucky me!

Me and "my baby"! Twenty-three years ago I was 9 months pregnant
and ready to deliver this young man. He celebrates his 23rd birthday in 2
days!

this! I have been looking for over a year for the perfect frames

for our elephant pictures from our elephant jungle excursion in

Thailand. I finally found them and Terry got them for me for my birthday.

It is hard to tell from the picture but they are really chunky-just as an

elephant frame should be! They are going to look so cool hung.....

Once Upon a Time.......

...there was a little maple tree living in a nursery somewhere in Boise. This
little tree wished so much that he could someday have a family choose him
to be their tree. He knew he could grow big and tall and strong for his family.
He would give them shade and provide a nice place for them to sit under
and relax.
Then one day his wish came true! A family came and chose him to take
to their new house and yard. This family had three little boys and a little
girl. The tree was excited to grow up with this family and be a part of their
family history. And he did grow up! For fifteen years this little maple tree
grew big and tall and strong and he did provide lots of shade for his family's
family gatherings and their little MOOSE to lie under and take his naps in
the summer.
The family loved their tree and they took good care of him. They watered,
fertilized, and pruned his branches just right! Then one summer everything
changed.
Something got sucked up into this tree's root system and the tree got sick.
His family continued to take care of him and nurse him with tender loving
care but nothing seemed to really help and slowly the tree died off branch
by branch.
Still, the family had hope that something they might do could save
their tree. Finally, in the spring of 2009, after twenty-one years of serving
his family, the tree only had the strenth in one little branch to grow leaves
for his family. So, lovingly, his family said one last good-bye to their good friend.
